Toby was inspired to start his own American style diner when he noticed no one was doing the New England style of food that he remembered fondly from his childhood in Boston, Massachusetts.
Toby's mission was to reinvent the classics and develop a menu that exceeded his memories. This unique food offering would appeal to the surrounding international audience of Bloomsbury and the British Museum.
Clive's was a great project to work on and we collaborated closely with Toby from the earliest phases of the project to help him to define the overarching strategy for the branding, the look and feel of the restaurant and its marketing collateral.

For the shop front we brought in Pete Hardwick, the legendary East London signwriter who hand painted the messaging on the windows in beautiful metallic gold to entice passes by in for some wholesome home made deliciousness. The interior colour palette of red, cream and gold was carried through to the website, staff uniforms and other periphals to maintain brand consistency.
